Corrections

These are working notes, and working notes get things wrong. If you fit windows, roofline or conservatory roofs for a living and something here does not match what you see on site, say so and be specific -- which note, which paragraph, and what the reality is. Corrections get made and credited if you want the credit.

Questions

Questions about a job you are having done are welcome, and get answered when there is a useful answer. What helps: the age and type of the property, what the quote actually says, and a photo if the problem is visible. What does not help is asking whether a price is fair without any of that.

What this site is not

It cannot quote for work, recommend a particular firm, or act as a go-between in a dispute with a contractor. For a dispute, the trade body the installer belongs to is the place to start, and their registration number should be on the paperwork.
